Pamela (Pam) Baergen is a figurative artist from Edmonton, Alberta. She began taking formal art lessons at age 6 from local artist Jean Birnie, and continued for 12 years until attending university. She then obtained a Fine Art Diploma from Grant MacEwan University, followed by a Bachelor of Arts Degree with distinction from the University of Alberta, majoring in the History of Art, Design, and Visual Culture, and minoring in Christian Theology. Although Pam explored many different media and subject matter during her studies, she remains captivated by the communicative power of the human image.
